Standing at over 2000 feet tall, this ‘One Rock Mountain’ is a jewel tucked in the scenic Western Ghats. Located in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka and snuggled in the arms of the picturesque Balalrayanadurga, Ghatikallu is spread over 100 acres of coffee, cardamom and pepper estate. Streams, mountains, valleys – it has all the right ingredients for a perfect recipe of ‘rejuvenating getaway in the laps of nature’. There is many a myth about the origin of this ‘one rock mountain’, each as intriguing as the other.
Ghatikallu is located in a remote area in Chikmagalur district and is nestled in the lap of ‘Ballalarayanadurga’, a mighty peak that has the famous Ballalarayana Durga fort.

We were the first to establish a homestay in Ghatikallu and we have thorough knowledge of the place, it’s culture, people and cuisines. Ever since we started off in 2009, we have met, served and befriended a lot of nature lovers and we look forward to doing the same year after year.
